So Mom went to Blogher today. Blogher, for those who aren't in the know, is a conference focussed on blogging with an emphasis on women blogers.
I take issue with the fact I wasn't able to go.
One, I'm a girl. Two, I'm a blogger. Yes, I may not be a human woman, but I am part of the community. I think it would make a lot of sense if I was given a special status -- possibly special guest or observer -- to signifiy that I'm so very open to hanging out with "human" women. I've got a lot to add ladies.
Sure, I may have four feet instead of two. And, I'm a dog. But I've got a lot to add. I'm a great blogger, I'm very influential in the dog blogging community. Just sayin'.
OMG! My very own template. Thanks to Tiffany for making me look so great.
Mom brought this bag home from her trip and I made the mistake of looking too interested in it. Surprisingly, it was Dad, not Mom that decided to put me in the little travel tote. The saddest thing was when my head slipped under from the opening -- but between you and me I was just trying to make them laugh.
I know I'm a girl. It's pretty obvious to me -- I don't feel any gender confusion. So, could you tell me why my Mom needed to plant this humiliating bow on my head. All I know is that it itches and people laugh at me when they see me. I'm cute, I don't need a pink bow to prove it.
In other news, I'm excited to see that Vox finally opened the beta (it's not a launch!). Andrew did a good job getting this thing out of the door. We should be celebrating! I'm not quite sure why we both look so depressed in this picture.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I got a new collar today. It's great. It's brown with various blue polka dots on it. I think I got it because everyone at work kept asking Mom if I had a bunch of collars to go with mom's outfits. The answer was "no." So, I think Mom wanted to do something special for me. Anyway, I love it and Krissy said I looked good. And she suggested that I get a collar a month. That's what I call a good idea.
Today was a good, tiring day. But it didn't start that great.
It started as an average morning. Dad took me for a walk, I had breakfast and then I got into the car like we were going to work. But we didn't go to work. They s
topped in front of some house I didn't know and Mom left me and Dad in the car. When she came out, she was with Krissy and some dog! Actually, it's the dog that picks on me at the office. I was thinking, I don't like how this is going and then the unthinkable happened! The dog got into my car!! Five seconds later I'm barking and he's lounging after me. I was not happy. Mom and Krissy took me and the other dog (his name is Major) out of the car and we started walking. We both calmed down but then every once in a while Major would lunge at me. Mom and Krissy decided that we couldn't all go into the same car so Krissy and Major drove behind us. I still didn't know where we were going.
We ended up going to the Farmers Market at the Ferry Terminal. Dogs are allowed on the outskirts of the market, but not where the food booths are. That's sort of lame. Mom and Dad had sandwiches that had eggs, cheese and bacon inside of them! And roasted potatoes! I had some scraps that fell out of Mom's and it was good.
Major and I both chilled out and sat in the sun with Mom and Krissy. That way, Dad could look around the market. Then, he came back and Krissy and Mom went away to shop. Major and I don't really like each other, but we figured we could peacefully cohabit the same space.
There were so many dogs at the Market! I saw a westie/schnauzer mix, daschund, golden retriever puppy, chihuahua, weimaraner, poodle, yorkie and many more.
on I'm special too!
